Il modulo Motorola Canopy Access Point (AP) rappresenta il centro nodale per collegamenti punto-multipunto e può essere composto da uno o più moduli AP (60° di apertura) o una schiera di 6 Access Point (AP CLUSTER) in grado di coprire 360°. Ogni modulo AP può gestire fino a 200 moduli terminali SM. Un modulo Motorola Canopy AP Cluster può invece gestire fino a 1200 moduli SM con un troughput totale fino a 84 MBps. Un cluster di Access Point necessità di un sincronizzatore CMM. Ogni Access point è disponibile a 2.4 Ghz, 5.4 GHz con protezione DES a 64 bit o AES a 128 bit. Sono facilmente configurabili via web browser e tra le funzioni configurabili vi è la possibilità di sbilanciare l'uplink e il downlink a seconda dell'applicazione.
